If I were a bird, I would fly in the clouds
Up where no one could catch me, I’d never come down;
I’d look out over the city lights and columns of smoke,
I’d find somewhere to sleep, maybe high in an oak;
I’d sort through my feathers and pluck at my wings,
Until the morning comes then I’d start to sing,
A melody to wake, a melody to inspire,
A new day to fly higher and higher.
