In a place of despair, you felt like home
An open field, a place to roam
A loving hand, a listening ear
A shoulder to cry on, not only when near
But when you’re far, my heart catches fire
Not even my tears will calm this internal choir
This choir of cries, so soft yet bold
I hide them away, to beautiful to behold
But he may hold me, and I him
May it not be long before we meet again
Only he truly knows
The emotions I don’t show
The world is to harsh for these lovers, I should know
