Piano
I pressed my fingers against your keys,
the notes formed together and began to bleed,
the melody was sad and I heard it before,
So I grew intrigued and played a little more,
your notes were bold and hard to ignore,
I fell in love by the second note,
By the last measure I couldn't let your keys go,
the sound was sweet and the melody was kind,
I played over and over again,
ignoring the warnings of time,
your melody floated into the air,
wherever it went I was there,
I still love it as much as that day,
but now I've carried it so long...
it's starting to fade away.
