The buzzing of the saw
Is what needs to be done they say
Taking away the life of trees
For the sake of human needs

Paper, pencils, we could live without
We need oxygen, air, without a doubt
Trees squirm in protest
As they fall down, down, down

Animals may speak of the day
When the forest came back
And again was attacked
Their homes lay fallen

It was once a kingdom, standing tall
Palaces of green and brown
Now it’s like a desert, scraps and all
No sign of animal life
Just the memories of what once was

The gentle breeze
That used to sway the trees
No longer possible
Life not probable
