Tonight,
Darkness sweeps thy sky clean,
Desperation makes me look closely
But not one star is seen.
Why would one desire to see stars that previously were?
Linger on such a sight that I couldn't endure.... before?
Thy heart feels insignificant, but thy eyes refuse to cry,
not one tear breaks free from thy imprisoning eyes.
I speak to thy sky, why don't you speak back anymore?
I can't help, but to feel ignored.
I love thy sky, why don’t you love me?
Have you moved on to another that sight sees?
No one told me to wish upon a star,
for I'd wish many more stars to come so I’d never feel far… From where you are.
