Dreadful Disaster
Tic-toc-tic-toc! The wooden clock was driving me crazy.
‘Twas only Monday morning and I was feeling lazy
The minute I woke up I knew it would be a bad day
Basically those kind of “blah” days as all my close friends say
While I was at school, my suspicions proved to be true
I noticed that I wore a red shoe and the other blue
Everyone stared since I looked like a complete maniac
I resembled a spooky monster about to attack
Because of my morning rush, I forgot to eat breakfast
I had never felt the grim feeling of hunger in the past
My empty stomach was now ferociously growling
The bellow was like a tumultuous wolf was howling
Later, I realized that something else had gone very wrong
My music homework was to compose my own, unique song
And I left my completed masterpiece in the printer
Maybe my forgetfullness was due to the harsh winter
Whatever is was that was causing this immense trouble
I truly hoped it would go away and one the double!
It seemed deeply difficult to survive ‘til three o’clock
My usual enthusiasm was now gone, which was a true shock
Eighth period I patiently waited in the lunch line
But my calmness was tested with a classmate named Alkine
He decided that he wanted to cut my friends and I
Obviously it was because he craved the apple pie
My aggravation was so intense that I pushed him away
He went face-first towards the floor, and along went his tray
Mrs.Oatmealraisin sprinted over with all of her might
She was extremely nice, but not when it came to a fight
My next challenge was to get through today’s soccer practice
When I’d much rather go home and work on my mom’s lattice
Unfortunately, I had established a new issue
A piece of freshly-chewed gum was now on my soccer shoe
It was probably one of the worst days of my life
I even went to the principal because of a strife
Surprisingly enough I was able to finish my task
Not only did I survive, but I had no questions to ask.
