"An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind". -Mohandas K. Gandhi

How can one go on like this?
I know not this glee,
For what could be.
I feel not this bliss.

And with nigh ashamed stature,
I stand powerless to catch her.
Take from my body a heart,
Lord, give it a new start.

Fly it away in the dead of the night.
Sense the sorrow,
Show it delight.
Set it back in me tomorrow.

Before you do this, show it a path,
Give it a scrubbing and a soak in the bath.
Find it a friend, of that fairest of sexes,
And give it best of amourous reflexes.

Sew its broken parts with gold,
Find its unused parts,
Remove the mold,
Connect it to all other hearts.

Community restored and love now found,
Place me in a sacred ground,
Where I can love forever-more,
For you had evened out the score.
