Some I Know and Some I Forgot
I met an old man in a wheel chair
With a photo album on his lap
He had tears on his cheek but he didn’t care
He was deeply lost in a memory gap
I stopped to inquire who was in the book
Hoping to bring a smile upon his face
Unable to bare his sad look
Wanting the pain to earse
He said with tears he bravely fought
I had a life once with family and friends
Some I know and some I forgot
These photos are all that’s left as my life ends
With my camera his photo I took
When my days are numbered I give thought
And through my photographs I look
Will it be some I know and some I forgot
