I Can Remember... Can You?
Remember the times we would ride our bikes? Or the time you fell to the ground?
Remember the times I was at your house, or when we were on the merry-go-round?
Remember the times when we were six, and we were caught playing in the dirt?
Remember the times you confessed your love? With you, I never was hurt.
Remember the times we sat in your room, thinking of things to do?
Remember the times we told all our secrets, or the silence when I would glance at you?
Remember the times we hosed ourselves down, 'cause we decided to climb that hill?
Remember the times we saw eachother less, but even so, I missed you still?
Remember the times you gave me "that look"? I remember it, you were such a tease.
Remember the times when we would reunite, and tie the memories?
Remember that day when you asked me out... but I was too afraid of love?
Remember that day when I finally left? It wasn't the dream I planned to walk out of.
Remember that day you gave me your look, and you took my hand and whispered low.
Remember that feeling when you read my heart and said, "This time I won't let you go."
I remember the times on our bikes. I remember being with you.
I remember the age of six, seven, eight, nine. The ages when love was all we knew.
How could you recognize love at such a young age? It's always puzzled my mind.
I remember now, that when we were young, you could see, but I was blind.
