Homecoming
Our tickets were turned into the man at the desk, so,
Hand in hand we walked down the path encased in cherry blossoms.
My gorgeous girl is glowing in her dark purple dress,
Illuminating her beautiful smile, she was full of flawless beauty, so much finesse.
After months of planning, our dream finally came true,
My heart was soaring with passion as if it was a balloon.
I knew we had ground breaking connections,
Felt like she was a zombie outbreak and I was now infected.
The night was just how I had pictured, full of happiness and love,
Flashing lights illuminate the sky presenting a dragon flying above.
The DJ was blearing the most popular songs igniting chains of unstoppable dancing,
Time was counting down, who is going to be the new homecoming king and queen?
Motionless in time and space dancing with the girl of my dreams,
I was floating, more than in love, as I became lost in her eyes,
To everyone else the night was over afterwards, oh, but not for us,
Off to Denny’s, my stomach was rumbling and making a fuss.
