Make Me Beleve
Make me believe in love once again,
Hold me close until I forget what happened then.
Make me believe that the 16th century star-crossed lovers were true.
Help my soul recover through and through.
Make me believe somewhere in this world demolition lovers truly exist,
That sworn by love they dare cut their wrist.
Make me believe verity lies in an instantaneous attraction.
When the eyes of two people meet they defy retraction.
Make me believe one day we will be able to express our love in public without criticism,
In which no longer will our families be filled with cynicism.
Make me believe you’re the miracle I’ve been waiting for since nascence,
Promise me I will never wake with you in absence.
Make me believe that you are truly mine,
Love me with a pure heart and nurture it until my death of time.
