Waking Up
I would say that I was lost
But I just left my passion behind
The world can be so dull
Yet so divine
I find that I have become so wrapped up
In the threads of here and now
That my imaginative mind has fell asleep
And needed to be found
Awoken by the beauty that shines through
Every truth
As our youth stands by their words on mute
I can not just stand by when I see the shattered glass
That represents the place that we live
While people just walk by and pass
Although I refuse to speak
My thoughts are the spilled words that cover
Countless pages
Of life that is recycled, reused, and degraded
