Eighteen are dead
A sickness so formidable
Lingering fears of never waking in this bed
Sorrow and panic is ubiquitous

This outbreak is unknown
A disease of infernal turmoil
Doctors can only frown
Tears and shouting of heartbreak fill the room

A family is left to pray
Hopes of a cure remain strong
New people come each day
Most are sick some lay motionless

I wish this suffering would cease
My dreams and bright future are tarnished
You are outside in my search of peace
From the worlds of a dead girl:

I Love You
Deathtoll: Nineteen

Poem I wrote for school. Write Up: This poem is based on the E.Coli outbreak in Europe. It is written in first person and is a fictionalized account of the event. Unheard of Killer is the melancholy of a girl who is dying from this ailment. She dies in the end of her poem, sending her family away so she can exit this world peacefully.
