I Look
I look at you mumbling and stumbling
As you go on wasting your life
I look at you mumbling and stumbling
Twisting words with a sharp dagger knife
I look at you yelling and crying
As you reach to take one more beer
I look at you yelling and crying
As you use words that sound oh so queer
I look at you stuttering and swaying
As you go and roll a joint
I look at you stuttering and swaying
And I start thinking that there’s not a point
I look at you coughing and gagging
As you inhale all of that smoke
I look at you coughing and gagging
And hope to god that you don’t choke
I look at you walking and talking
As you go grab your keys to the car
I look at you walking and talking
I know you won’t get very far
I look at the news the next morning
And I start to cry
I look at the news that morning
And learned that you happened to die
As I think of the moaning and groaning
The gagging and beer on your breath
I should have thought to help you
Because that one moment brought you to your death
