Winter's Beauty
Swinging, swaying, flying, playing
Oh, how beautiful it is out today
The sky is white and the sun is hiding
And the day is just passing away
The wind is brisk and biting my nose
But I don’t care a single bit
I feel a frost upon my toes
And I believe that that is when it hit
The sparkling frost upon the grass
And the ground that felt like stone
I realized poor summer is far surpassed
Even now with the garden to the bone
The passing cars break the silence
They wish and woosh the air
My heart pounds faster as the swing goes higher
Almost like I didn’t have a care
Alas the sun began to set
because the day just passed away
This is one I surely won’t forget
Oh, how beautiful it was out today
