Shooting Star
Have you ever seen a shooting star
As it traveled through the night?
I bet you've seen so vast and far
 You've never seen the light

 No one seems to know
 No one seems to care
But if you pull back to now
 This I'll gladly share

 The future we need
 Deny it not
But for a moment take heed
 Before now is lost

 Look toward the future
 But not at it
 That way, for sure
 You won't miss the present

 Look up into the night
At the closest star you see
Not the ones so high and tight
But the one that's falling free
