Still as time
September 4, 2014

                                I walk.
I tremble of cold
Time stops
Getting ready to unfold.
Leaving only water and wind
Still moving.
Only after I grinned
The sound reached me.
After Hearing crashes and thunders
Whooshes and screeches
I must wonder.
But thinking for only a few seconds
feels more like a dozen hours.
Funny how time it's self can be slowed down
By only the smartest.
Who lay on top of the ground.
I hear only thunder followed by a crash
The whooshes and screeches are left in a dash
I look at the river,
Slowly disintegrating into a soundless dime.
That is Now standing
Almost as still as time.
