Our Lady Mercy
Our Lady Mercy
Wore flowers in her hair
She plucked them from the southron fields
And fashioned crowns to wear
A crown of gold would never sit
Upon her noble head
They sold her to the Northern lands
The ice and snow to wed
Our Lady Mercy
Wore furs around her throat
Her gowns were now all made of wool
And velvet was her coat
The winter sun was white and wild
And ne’er a flower grew
The menfolk warred and blood was shed
The sky was ever blue
Our Lady Mercy
Wore iron on her hand
She governed all the Northern folk
And ruled o’er all the land
From desert sun to winter snow
Our Lady did ascend
The savior of the Northern folk
Their Lady Mercy, friend
