My heart skips a beat,
A beat that I can feel
With a different tone
And a different rhythm.
My heart skips a beat,
I inhale a deep breath
As my breathing mimics
The beat of my heart.
My heart skips a beat,
That of a complex melody
Eliciting a melodious tone
Deadened to all but I.
My heart skips a beat,
As the formation of love
Arouses my senses
Never felt before.
My heart skips a beat,
Uncanny in nature,
Enigmatic in form;
The love I have is born.
