Be
Let me be free;
sitting, watching over at children
who will never get to see
the violence once set in by my brethren.
Let me be kind;
skipping, holding hands
with no ill intentions stored behind,
And no evil doings planned.
Let me be known;
uttered on the lips of a friend,
or named something impossibly dumb on someone’s phone–
it’s something only she and I can comprehend.
Or else, just let me be–
free, kind, and known,
all three, or none at all for you to see,
for in this pursuit I will not be alone.

Wanted to experiment with some rhyming, and I haven't posted here in a while so I figured I'd write something.
