I Don't Care
I
Do
Not
Care.
I don’t care about much right now.
I don’t care that “he’s in a better place,”
I don’t care that “it gets better,”
I don’t care that “I’ll see him again,”
I don’t care that “it will be okay,”
I don’t care that “everything happens for a reason,”
Because he may be in a better place,
But I’m not.
It may get better,
But it isn’t better now,
I may see him again,
But it won’t be today.
It may be okay,
But I’m not going to be.
Everything may happen for a reason,
But I don’t have a reason.
I do care.
But that doesn’t mean I want to.
