Music: My Savior
Music it what they made
Hope is what they gave
Their songs saved my wrist from the blades
WIth their music playing, the pain slowly fades
My mind was a trap with no way out
The lyrics they wrote helped erase my self-doubt
Depression was the caved in which i dwelled
Hiding from the things people said I was labeled
Their music gave my mind new ideas to focus on
In turn changing my mood from then on
Their tunes made my blue turn pink
They wrote the lyrics but they wasted no ink
I know it may sound crazy
But music made my life less hazy
It gave me hope when I had none
And now all my doubts are gone

This was an assignment for choir. I had to write a poem on how music changed my life and this was the end result.
