Swinging in the Park
The leaves crunch under our feet like a zig zag line.
Crisp fall air fills my friends and my lungs.
Hammocks hang through our hands,
we peer for the flawless tree.
Nature brings us into a state of bliss.
I perch like a parrot on my friends’ shoulders,
tediously tie the straps around the crumbling trunk.
We crawl like lizards in our peapod shaped home,
the warm, soothing sun shining on our backs.
Nature brings us into a state of bliss.
Birds bat their wings, aviating above us.
The sweet sound of wind weaving through the trees,
silence fell upon us,
I open my book and my worries leave.
Nature brings us into a state of bliss.
