Orbit
The International Space Station
Was supposed to pass by tonight.
I suppose it still did, even if I couldn't see it;
Where else could it have gone besides on-by?
It did not spin out into space,
Or abandon its path.
It was just hidden behind dense, blue-grey clouds.
And as I pass by,
Orbiting, step by step,
I will do as the International Space Station does:
I will stay on course.
