Riptide
I see worry
looking past priceless
pearls
weaving through
amber rings.
Consumed
in her trance
like christened water
down a rusty drain
restoring metal
and restricted
from rotting away.
More strength than
a shivering wave
crashing twenty feet
filled with passion
not accepting defeat.
In this girl
more than
I’ll ever be
this worry I
see,
strictly in me.
