Summer
I love the feel of summer.
When the sinks and shower walls are filled with wet swim suits,
and the sand from beaches end up in one place: your house.
It’s when children wear shorts covered in mud,
and an old t-shirt that has melted popsicle juice on the collar.
Everyone is sweaty because as soon as you get out of the shower you start panting like a dog,
but it doesn’t matter because it’s summer.
The time seems to slow, and the mean neighbors seem kinder too.
During summer, doing nothing is actually fun.
You feel as light as a bird because there aren’t any burdens about work, school, or life.
Everything is better during the summer.

I love Summer and the joy it brings me and I wanted to put it into words. I also wanted to share this with readers and have people relate to me.
