The evergreen
My body you are an evergreen
who praises the gods with your branches
Your roots crawl deep into the earth
touching fire
A protector
You stand stong and never change
Your green pigmented leaves
shelter depression and regret
As you mature your limbs conceal emotion
My body you are an evergreen
your oddly shaped leaves droop
but never fall
One day
you will fall
Silence.
