Colors of a Vase

Sun leaks through colors of a vase
midnight, rose, maple leaf, pineapple.
Hues
they dance upon a wall, shifting slightly from the wind.
Vibrations ripple through the ground,
the window sill ledge
rattles
drawling out from beneath the vase
cracking as it rolls into a corner
before it fractures,
the colors separate, serrated.
Cold, damp, light doesn't penetrate
the corner.
The colors unseen,
just outlined pieces
of a broken vase.
