I am Stronger Now
It was the first of October; you were not sober.
Everything was over, no longer my lover.
You left our home and our love behind,
but this wasn't what I wanted, not what we designed.
The next day I called, and you said you'd return.
Deep down inside, I knew this was a lie.
I can’t exactly say why, but I still remember
to this current day, the promise you made on that day.
Finally I realize that you are truly gone,
and that I can continue to carry on.
I am courageous, I am independent, and I am brave.
Forget about you, my heart has recovered.
