Brick red track, high expectations 

Teal-green marquees and a sea of girls 

Sports day has begun

The races commence 

The overweight ball in shot put screams with exhilaration, as he flies across the field 

The slim body of the javelin soars gracefully and executes a perfect landing 

Everyone is pleased 

Suddenly miserable clouds roll in 

And all of them are pregnant with rain 

They cry with sorrow and splat the measly people below 

Yet everyone still has a smile on their face 

They have hope 

And are dedicated to enjoy their day 

And do it all with beaming smiles upon their faces
