Your Effort Matters
Do you ever think what would happen?
If you skipped class in order to sleep in,
if you didn’t push yourself at practice and went through the motions,
if you didn’t go after your goals and succumb to being average.
Every day you set goals for yourself subconsciously:
I’m going to shoot 100 shots a day;
I’m going to eat a salad for lunch;
I’m going to finish my homework before midnight;
I’m going to raise my ACT score.
You’re going to, and you will crush these goals.
Because without goals what are you?
You are subpar.
You are boring.
You are lazy.
But above all, you are staying exactly where you are.
motionless,
achieving nothing.
Why not push yourself?
Because it’s hard.
Because you’re tired.
Because you can do it tomorrow.
No.
You are the only one stopping yourself from achieving these goals.
Don’t give in.
Go achieve your goals, before someone else does.
