I am from sports.
From Soldier Field to the United Center.
I am always from the outskirts.
Moving like a gypsy.
I am from the weeping willow.
Whose leaves always seemed to last forever.
I am from games and happiness.
From my mother to my father.
I am from sleeping as much as a sloth.
From “Stop staying up so late” to “Get a job.”
I am from sleeping in on football Sundays.
I am from Wisconsin and my family has been here for centuries due to my heritage.
From my family's history of military.
To the joy of spending time with my family.
