We
We were wrong
But unmistakable right
I think I know you and you I
But the truth is we were both wrong
We were liars
I only ever showed you the version of me with all my cracks filled
I kept the deep cracks of me hidden
And I only knew you by your laughs, so your cries were unfamiliar
We only ever flew high
So high we never, not once, saw the solid ground
There was that one terrible day when we flew so high we hit the clouds
Those clouds hit us so hard we came down separately
We lost each other.
How could two broken people ever be together?
Which one of us was supposed to put the other back together?
We were both too selfish to fix the other
I could not risk myself for you and you all the same
We each left the other
Never to see each other again
But we still see the ghost of the other
And we reminisce on our past
We were both so scared of the other that we ruined the best thing to ever happen to us
We were emotionally closed off
But now we are ever emotionally chasing the other
But sadly we will never catch each other again
But you only get one shot
And we failed.
