Favorite Quote:
Some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them (William Shakespeare)

Lungs of the world they are often known as,

An alternate reality to which many beings roam,

Here are many human homes,

Their dependence on each other is often unknown.

The nature in humans is often shrouded,

Concealed or hidden, repressed for seeking growth,

As the predators of our livelihoods are internal and external,

Scared to emerge so it buries its head in the sand.

Extensions of the sun are downtrodden and trampled,

Their individuality counts for nothing,

They are replaced by those better bred for extreme conditions,

It's no wonder that they transpire so much.

Lives bound and intertwined,

Both their characteristics aren't allowed to shine,

Humans change but their individuality and achievements frighten society, so they hide in shame of their uniqueness,

New, and in some ways better, plants often come along, being more beneficial to society, so their predecessors are left, destitute when it wasn't their time to go.

I love to spread awareness on environmental issues and write poetry, as you will know. So I combined the best of both worlds in this piece.
