The Perception of Love
We perceive the optimal choice in one person
One person that scratched out every possible preposition
That left what you thought you lived for, unfulfilling
That hacked every doubtful presumption of imagination
That left the indefinite to be pondered upon
The one individual who bestowed beauty in everything
That compelled you to seek out the impractical
The one that despite imperfections and limitations
Emerged the conception of perfection in your eyes
That shattered walls and rendered a haven
That made every living moment preeminent
Just to rupture your core to shards and specks
Leave you like an empty glass, unable to salvage
This one individual is what we proclaim to be love
