Blue
Blue.
censors and infuses her soul,
my eyes fixated on the heart-wrenching hue they have cast upon
laden with azurean steel
the hump of notre dame - a heavy lingering burden.
“Blue”.
ocean Blue, sea Blue,
aqua Blue, green-Blue,
dark Blue, light Blue,
strangling,
suffocating,
struggling,
yet in my snapshot of this Blue,
i see:
straggling patches of raven-black seep in,
a rebellious solitude of the cloud of adolescence,
a fading brown, audacious green, rosy pinks, and white ablaze.
the intertwining hues cursing, beating, embracing
until the conflict for dominance resolves
to a ravenous, starved, and chaotic mingle of tints,
glass tinged with the faint light,
an alluring sight crazed by a rustic antiquity.
Blue.
now just one of many,
as i peer into the quivering irises through the frigid iron bars holding her hostage.
Blue.
