Loneliness
An emotion, a strange feeling
Like a warm hug or a cold shoulder
You remember what others left behind
It leads you into a prison
With unlocked gates
Knowing you have no strength to open them
A light shining in the distance
It’s aloof to your open arms
And unhearing to your echoing calls
A miserable feeling, a safe one
You know nothing’s going to happen
But you hope something will.

I wrote this poem for myself while I was going through confusing emotions by myself. I hope that people can relate to this and figure out what they're going through, and alothough they may be alone, all hope is not lost.
