Another Man's Treasure
I know that I won’t be good enough for you
I understand that you don’t love me
I’m grateful that you still deal with me
I know I’m your trash
Sitting on the side of the street
Regenerating every week
You could tear me apart and throw me away
And I would still care about you
Every time you leave me for dead
I know someone will come for me
Someone who will treat me like treasure
But until then, I’m simply an object.
