Her Final Goodbye
Her name meant beauty,
Who lived happily with her family
Her laugh brought joy to everyone,
who came into her path
But little did they know,
a terrifying internal monster,
Will replace her sweet innocent smile
As she fights for her life,
She begins to weaken
Getting eaten from the inside out
She was scared but never gave up
Until...
This man had welcomed her
Into this beautiful place,
With other beautiful souls.
And her smile grew once again.
She repeated no more suffering
But back on Earth,
The pain was unbelievable.
Why did she have to go?
Why this soon?
In a snap of your fingers,
She was gone...

I wrote this poem about my mother who was battling stage 4 cancer and sadly passed away. Her death greatly affected my family and still does to this day even though it happened 13 years ago.
