Abstraction
Abstraction
I. Chaos
The world turned upside down
Shattering everyone’s dreams
Cloaked in ash and smoke
Makes oblivion supreme.
II. Despair
Little horned demons tormenting you
With fires gleaming madly in their eyes
As they force you to witness
The crashing flames of the world’s demise.
III. Normality
Sitting down on my desk and writing these poems
Imbues me with the routine of daily life
Though I am completed, I still feel empty
Inside, some part of me wants to change and thrive.
IV. Hope
A bright angel fluttering in your heart
Speaking harmonious words
That inspire you in strained times
To persevere and be spurred.
V. Future
Times ahead that give advice
To present-day members
Struggling with turmoil
Looking forwards is the way to remember.

I wrote this piece as a school assignment about emotions but it gradually turned into a reflection of my entire feelings during 2020.
