A New Day
The sea emerald-green,
the sand coarse,
the sun peeking out of the horizon,
the winds howling hoarse.
It was the first time,
the beach appeared so pristine,
devoid of human occupance,
it was all mine.
I dashed towards the shore,
a euphoria of ineffable emotions at sway,
I plunged right into the water,
to cleanse my soul and begin the day.
