Being a Young Adult
Sixteen years on this earth,
Sixteen years of evolution,
Sixteen years of developing character,
Becoming the person I saw in the mirror
Pressure pushing my personality,
Back to the past, leave it like that,
Started turning dreams to reality,
Refrain from rewinding and restarting this path
Why is
Society so
Hard on
Everyone?
Words from a stranger online don’t affect me though,
My brain got a filter, my mind just blocks it,
I hear the hate through thick crowds at shows,
But I laugh to the bank because my ego is locked in
Love’s hard to find but I found it in her,
Older with time, but she’s aging like wine,
How she so fine,
Truly divine
Sixteen years observing the way of the world
