Filled with junk and hats with lice,
stale popcorn and warm soda,
and music stalls
with old and dusty records and cd’s.
 
To embrace the young generation,
to show the real melody of life?
Or to make us understand
that music is a language for all?


The author's comments:

I am an 8th-grader and the author of the poetry collection 'Searching for Bow and Arrows' (2020), which won second prize in the 2019 Stone Soup book contest. I am also a violinist. I live in Massachusetts with my parents, older sister, and Stella, a silver poodle.
