I wield my words,
and let my stories dance across the field,
let the ink take form and somehow call it poetry,

My thoughts ride amidst the jargon of seamless words,
weaving through the alphabets and settle down where it hurts,
Letting my pen glide across the surface, opening wounds,
Which even I don't know the cure to,
Bleeding itself dry,
Just so you could read and say, yeah that's good,

We're poets - we let the paper cut and the pen bleed,
The words slash but your heart heal,
So at the end of the day, you come and say,
My pain goes away but the memories stay.
