After Lolita
Teased and bleached,
her unkempt hair enclosed
a scarlet and tender face,
hiding its indigo eyes, just for me.
She whispered sweet nothings and
I allowed my thoughts
to wander, to manifest.
She was still soft, and her lips tasted of
honey, whilst the other girls
—the other women—
tasted of nothing but ash.
