Polished in Society
To be perfect.
Oh, what a dream that would be.
Pushing through the extreme to become supreme.
Perfect.
A thing no one will ever accomplish to be.
A condition that you pay a high price for.
A lifetime mission,
a never-ending transition.
To stand out in a crowd
or to finally make someone proud.
To be perfect,
you neglect your self-respect
only leading to the side effects
of sadness
and grief.
But not the grief of losing someone else,
instead,
you've already lost yourself.
