Broken Clock Hands
I loved you like a mother, or I loved you like a friend
I loved you like a sister, or maybe a girlfriend
I put my hope and trust in you, cause like a broken clock
you were right but twice a day and wasn't it a shock
when you told me all the wrong things and still I trusted you
Your broken hands traced my mind
and I can still fill your outline
You should've had your had your hands on time
but instead you had your hand in mine
in your head your hands were somewhere else, and still I trusted
you
Your broken clock hands they stab through my heart
Your broken clock hand are whittled too sharp
Your broken clock hands are right twice a day
Your broken clock hands give my heart an ache
