when she shined, she shined like silver
and beetle skins in the sunlight
dripping off her watery eyes, it was
greens and purples and blues
fall away, and there she is
silken ghost, fading
and she sees through you.

This was one in a series of poems written to describe the feelings that some of my favorite words create for me. It was difficult to create the exact images I wanted to, and with the same overall feeling of the word I chose.
