Prince Charming
My parents they warned me of drugs
they said they lead to quarrelling and snarling
But instead of telling me boys where all bugs
they told me one day I'd meet my prince charming
no, I'm not scared of the people they warned me against
because if anything, I've just become those very warnings
but the only advice that they ever should have dispensed
but instead they told me stories of princes and kings
I bought into the stories, I dreamed of my prince
For so many years, you had me convinced
But the wonder drug you never warned me about
are the ones with with strong hands but eyes full of doubts
you promised me a prince charming
never knew that would be so harming
soft skin but a heart made of shrapnel
laugh made of summer, mind full of hell
How can I love you
if you can't love yourself
