~ a constellation of emotions on my heart
I look up at the stars
and I see the dreams
of all those that came
before me.
I see the goals, the
wishes, and the memories.
And it doesn’t scare me.
I don’t flinch, cringe, or
run.
I marvel at all the emotions
and I pick my favorites
from the sky and store
them in my heart. I
treasure each one and
keep them as my own.
Everyday, I experience a
different one. Each night I
pick a couple more out
of the sky until I’m
overflowing with emotion.
I’m filled with young love,
pain, sorrow, joy, fear, and
Positive energy. I share these
with those who have known
such heartache as I have.
We have all grown now.
We are adults,
with our own responsibilities
And lives, but we will never
forget those days when
we stole the stars from
sky just to feel something.

I have been through so much trauma in my short 18 years of life and I have always loved writing. I want to share my works with the world so that others who have been through the same trauma or similar trauma know that they are not alone.
